You’re intelligent and high-achieving, and you’ve worked really hard to get where you’re at. On paper, your life looks great - you’ve checked the boxes, met the milestones, and created a “successful” life. Yet on the inside, you feel stuck and uncertain, and a bigger question continues to nag at you:

“Is this it? Is this my life?”

The job that you worked so hard to get? Not so great when it comes with a horrible boss, working through your weekends, and a salary that doesn’t give you any breathing room. You feel lonely and want connection, but the only thing that you and your partner talk about these days is who’s picking up the kids from school.

You come home each day, hoping to get a break from the exhaustion of work, only to feel stressed by your home life as well.

Your brain has always worked well for you, helping you to achieve, analyze, solve problems, and come out on the other side. It’s been the primary tool in your toolbox your entire life, one that’s always been reliable. And yet this time, you feel like you’re spinning around on the hamster wheel without finding any helpful answers or insights.

You want things to be different. You want things to change. Yet you don’t know how to make that happen. You’re wondering whether you need to make a bigger change, but a change of that size feels scary and overwhelming, and this fear leads you to question whether things are actually THAT bad, or whether making a change would even make that much of a difference.

Hi, I’m Amanda.

I work with professionals in their 30s and 40s who are contemplating major life decisions, such as whether to change jobs or careers, get a divorce, or move to a new area.

I help my clients to sort through the noise of their thoughts so that they can confidently make decisions that feel grounded in their values, goals, and desires for their lives.

We’ll work together to figure out whether it’s the internal things that need to change, like your perspective, inner monologue, comfort level with setting boundaries, or maybe how present versus absent you are in your day-to-day life.

OR, we’ll determine whether it’s external things that need to change, such as leaving a relationship or a job that’s no longer a fit for who you are right now. And if you’re hesitant to change course, we’ll talk through the obstacles that are holding you back from starting a new chapter.

Life doesn’t have to be an endless series of Groundhog’s Days. There are many different pathways forward, but no matter which one you take, you can absolutely create a life full of joy, connection, and fulfillment.

Online Counseling Across Indiana

My therapy practice is entirely telehealth, great for people who prefer to have counseling from the comfort of their own space. It's also a convenient option for busy professionals who want to avoid the commute and save time during their day.

Although I’m based in Bloomington, telehealth allows me to see therapy clients across the state of Indiana. I’m also a PSYPACT provider, allowing me to see clients in any PSYPACT participating state.
